The one time I fell in Love

I am a fan of LOVE, I am obsessed with LOVE, so much that I read any and every article about LOVE. 1 Corinthians 13 : 4-8 tell us what love is, at first I thought it was impossible to love someone that way, but this was because the only time I encountered this scripture was either at weddings or church where the emphasis was on loving your spouse or others (neighbours, strangers, blah blah). 

I thought to myself, "If I am expected to love my husband or anyone like this, forget it, what? is he going to love me in the same way? nah? nope? NOOO! HELL NOO"  "(that is not how I get hurt) Noo NOOO!!" but with time I realized LOVE is not ONLY about loving others; but really about loving yourself because through loving yourself you learn how to love others. 

Since the thought of LOVING anybody, especially a stranger that I will meet and just LOVE because I have "feelings" for or "attracted" to or because the bible said so, SCARED the hell out of me. REALLY. BUT my LOVE for LOVE led me to giving LOVE a try.

So, I consciously decided to LOVE and fall in love with me. I chose to  practice 1 Corinthians 13 : 4-8 LOVE on ME and This is my experience so far:

1. I learnt to say NO to things that are against my values without explaining myself or feeling guilty, this helped me to take a NO from others, I got to understand that NO can come from a place of Love and it is OK;

2. I learnt to take care of myself and my needs first,  without being selfish in a bad way or narcissistic. After all a well-taken care being is healthy and strong enough to care for others. 

3. I am more confident, enough and positive. I see everything from a positive point of view. LOVE give you that peace, the peace that no one can take away from you not even a RUDE motorist;

4. I Love others. REALLY! It has become very unnatural not to LOVE others. I forgive easily, I understand people better, and do not hold grudges;

5. Accepted people. I am not bothered by anyone's sexuality, religion or political view. They are human, just like ME and YOU. Let people BE.

Love is beautiful guys and what is more beautiful about it is that you do not need to meet a STRANGER aka Husbae to experience LOVE. You have yourself to practice on. 

May LOVE rule your hearts.
