My First Hollywood Wax experience

First of all, I would like to apologize to my family and friends for the embarrassment they may feel as a result of me discussing my vagina on the internet. 

Well, In the past year I have been waxing my underarms and the results have been incredible. This year I've decided to take it a step further and do a Hollywood wax. The only reason why I prefer weeding that area is because it can get really messy during the important phase of the month, so I prefer to keep it decently clean. 

I have read horror stories on the internet about Hollywood wax and watched videos of people getting waxed the first time. I must say it wasn't the wisest thing to do because all it did to me was to make me more scared than ever.

So, one day, I made an appointment at Healing Touch Wellness & Lifestyle Centre in Windhoek. The main purpose of the appointment was to get my legs waxed and a relaxing massage. Although I thought about waxing my Vay-Vay I thought I wasn't ready. 

When I got to the Salon, the lady was really friendly and professional, so I asked her if I could squeeze in Hollywood wax and she said "Sure"  I was hoping she would say the time allocated to me was not enough to do all that Sigh........I played myself!

Anyways, she took me to a waxing room which had a bed that screamed "Hell" then she told me to remove my dress and the underwear... CRAP!!! it is really happening, this young lady is going to have a 360 degrees view of my VAGINA, I held it together and consoled myself with it is just a part of the body like any other which I must say worked like magic. 

She gave me space to undress and then she made an entrance. My heart started to pound, I was nervous this girl is really going to see my vagina I thought to myself. Honestly, I was more concerned about my vagina than the pain Smh... She started off by sitting my one leg straight and the other a little bend but lying flat and then made small talks to get rid of the awkwardness I guess. She assured me that although it can be painful but is nothing unbearable the pain will go away within seconds I am going to die so I thought but I tried to be strong so I did not chicken out. 

She smeared warm wax on my bikini line all the way down, took a paper, rubbed it and pulled. Huh, it is not bad I said " I told you" she replied. She continued to talk to me while she keep busy down there which helped a lot because for the moment I forgot that she had a full view of my vagina and that it was painful. 

She moved on to all other parts and long story short she finished without a loud scream, kick or teary eyes. By the end of the process, I remembered the conversation we were having than the pain I felt. I can't tolerate pain, so trust me when I tell you that it wasn't painful at all. The only part which was a bit painful was Mons Pubis.

She left me to dress up before I moved to the next room for a massage! Perfect plan!! I left that Salon without feeling any pain or remembering the pain from Waxing :-) Overall it wasn't a bad experience or awkward at all. I can't wait for my next appointment :-) 

If you are planning on doing Hollywood wax here is my advice:

1. Get over the fact that someone will have a full view of your Vagina, it is just another body part;
2. Relax and trust whoever is doing it. This means that if you do not trust the person, leave the salon and go look for someone else to do it; and
3. Book for a massage, it is the best way to reward yourself for the bravery!
